sierra is sooooo complicated to me like. i could go on about her for so long & also i wish the writers did certain things with her character (which i will get into later in this rant) so ya here we go
firstly her childhood is . very clearly messed up?? it’s established that her mother is Ultra Obsessed with chris and i think sierra mentions being a 3rd generation chris mclean scholar at one point which implies that obsession just runs in the family atp😭 before even going on the show she’s grown up in an environment where this level of obsession is Normal so she doesn’t see anything wrong with turning out the same way
since her mother is like . obsessed with chris & stuff that’s probably what would bring sierra to watching total drama in the first place and i personally feel like she’d fixate on it because it was a group of teenagers her age, people she would like to be friends with if that makes sense? i can imagine she’d be a pretty odd child without many friends so that’d maybe be a reason for her to latch onto total drama, maybe why she latched onto cody too because like. she thinks he’s cute and they have things in common (like theyre both pretty geeky) so she gets pretty parasocial about it because, as mentioned before, her mum being obsessed with chris is just Normal to sierra so she thinks it’s normal for her to be obsessed with cody (spoiler alert girl: it’s really not)
while she’s on the show i feel like she doesn’t change / gets worse because chris sees her exhibiting Mental Illness and just… actively encourages her behaviour? and the other contestants do nothing to stop it, like how most of the time (e.g. paris) team amazon get mad at cody for sierra’s behaviour instead of helping him out for some reason??? no one tells sierra her behaviour is wrong so she just. Continues to get worse until shes out of the competition😭
this is where im gna interrupt with a canon divergence because like . personally i think in the episode where votes were revealed and cody was revealed to have voted sierra Every Single Time, sierra shouldve gotten over him!!!! it was the harsh truth she needed to hear, the dose of reality that cody is NOT interested in her and she needs to move on. she couldve had good character development, building her relationships with other characters and showing off her skills. maybe she’d still be eliminated in drumheller because she made cody that birthday cake as an apology and then kaboom or whatever idk just some way to keep her elimination the same
going down this train could’ve made her character in all stars Actually Interesting ! we couldve seen a side of sierra that kept some of her old eccentric vibes but had her head in the game this time instead of being focused on a boy, especially since cody isnt even in that season
and of course lastly i just wanna say i’m not excusing her weird actions or her creepiness at all, she has some Extreme Flaws and all the stuff she did was absolutely not okay, i just like rotting and seeing maybe why she acted the way she did and i wanted to drop my own two cents on interesting avenues her character couldve went down :3 i know everyone in td is some form of stereotype and sierra was an obsessive uberfan but she couldve still been that after getting over cody, in fact im disappointed that she knew SO much about the cast yet didnt use any of their weaknesses to her own advantage, she couldve dominated the competition😭
so uhhh yeah thats my thoughts on sierra, i probably over-read her to filth but shes very complex to me and i wish certain aspects of her character were done differently, she had a lot of potential especially in all stars but um Everyone had their potential destroyed in all stars so i’ll overlook that

my worst fear is demetri and hawk getting together, but through an outing or cheating storyline. theyre very common tropes and i know yasmine is definitely gonna pose a problem to their relationship at some point.
I know right!!! Like I’m not a big Yasmine fan (still not really inclined to forgive her for all that shit she pulled in Season 1 just because she’s like...being slightly nicer to Demetri, and no one else?), but it kinda sucks to think about even HER getting mixed up and hurt in the mess of these two boys very much convinced they’re Big Straight finally coming to terms with their sexualities. Like I get realizing you’re gay or bi can be messy, ESPECIALLY at a high school like the kids go to where you can get picked on for literally ANYTHING, but no one deserves to be essentially used as a Beard, even if it’s unintentional. And having Demetri cheat on Yas with Eli would just be so...ugh, for so many reasons. Like for one, they’re already DONE the cheating thing with the whole Robby x Sam x Miguel x Tory thing...we don’t need ANOTHER cheating storyline just to create interesting romantic drama. And it’s not like gay cheating is all that different from straight cheating at its core, so it’s not like it would be that fresh or interesting of a take on the whole cheating plotline anyways.
Besides, the cheating plot often just...isn’t very fun to watch a lot of the time, because you’re just facepalming at all these characters just making very dumb and selfish decisions instead of like...communicating? Like I love these characters but it’s harder to root for them when I see them cheating on their SOs, since that’s just like...such a shitty thing to do, even if said SO isn’t my fave. I can kinda forgive the Samiguel cheating thing, considering they were both drunk and all and it was a bit of a spur of the moment deal, but consciously and repeatedly cheating on your girlfriend with your best guy friend just because you’re too scared to admit to yourself you’re gay??? Nah, fuck that. Like you don’t have to publicly announce you’re into guys or anything, but leave leading girls on out of it!!!! If you’d really rather secretly bang/kiss a guy, then dump your girlfriend and then continue to secretly bang/kiss said guy!!! It’s just...SO crappy to use someone as a cover-up like that, and it would make me lose a lot of sympathy for Demetri if he did. And it would FRUSTRATE me too, like??? If you want Eli so bad, break up with Yaz then??? Sure, it might lose him some of the popularity points he seems to enjoy, but that’s better than staying with someone you’ve lost the spark with just so you can go behind their back.
I’m honestly hoping if Yasmine is used in a Demetri/Eli plot, she’ll be there to kinda represent what Demetri THINKS he should want vs. what he ACTUALLY wants (i.e. Eli). Like Yasmine’s the ideal girlfriend, social status-wise--gorgeous, popular, sexy, doesn’t take shit from anyone since she’s at the top of the food chain (or at least seems to still think she is). In a way, she represents everything Demetri has ever wanted--acceptance, adoration, the respect of his peers, the power that comes from being near The Top, wherever “The Top” really is. So when he starts dating her, he just has to wonder why he feels so...unfulfilled? Why he’s not as happy as he always dreamed he would be when the day finally came that Yasmine looked his way? And he hates himself for it, but he finds half the time he spends time with her, listening to her talk about manicures and dresses and designer bags, he wishes he was with Eli instead, watching Doctor Who. It makes him wonder if being with a rich girl isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. And that little tingle he gets in his chest whenever the newly-mellowed-out Hawk/Eli starts excitedly rambling about “nerd shit” again, just like he used to...is that normal? Why does he find himself caring more about Eli’s opinions of him than his own girlfriend? It’s fucking weird.
After a while of finding himself more and more focused on Eli, and rapidly running out of things to actually TALK about with Yasmine, Demetri does like...the practical thing, and ends things with Yaz, realizing he liked the idea of her better than he actually liked her. Yaz is probably pretty fine with it, too, since I imagine at this point, she’s realized her and Dem don’t really have enough in common to keep a relationship going. Like Demetri is a smart guy--it might throw him off to realize he only liked Yasmine because of the idealized picture he painted himself of her, and the pedestal he put her on, but I think he’d come to terms with this sooner than people think and wouldn’t just like...be in such rampant denial about not actually liking Yasmine that much that he refuses to break up with her. Self-denial is Hawk’s thing, not Demetri’s XD Demetri has always more or less embraced who he is, geekiness and all, and hasn’t ever really felt the need to deny who he is. He often makes a point of saying exactly what he thinks and feels, no matter how unwise, so he’s pretty in-touch with himself. I feel like if he realized his relationship with Yaz wasn’t everything he’d hoped for, he might be a bit bummed, sure--it always sucks when something you’ve been striving for for a long time doesn’t meet your expectations, and turned out to be better in your mind. But ultimately, if Demetri realized he wasn’t that into Yaz, I feel like he would eventually just accept that as a part of himself and move forward with his life accordingly.
And literally ALL of this introspection can happen without him ONCE cheating on Yasmine with Eli, ffs
I think it would be nice if dating Yasmine is a way for Demetri to have to question what it is he really wants, and what he’s actually looking for in a partner. And, of course, question whether he ACTUALLY even likes girls...because why is being with this hot girl barely doing anything for him at all??? Why isn’t he constantly filled with excitement and unending horniness??? What is going on here??? But even then, like, there’s just...NO reason for him to cheat. I feel like realizing you’re gay provides enough angst and drama in of itself without having to have a gay love affair behind your girlfriend’s back. Throwing in cheating to the whole gay realization would almost make it like...comedically overdramatic, because it 100% reads as “Oh, look at this dramatic thing! What if we made it even MORE dramatic??? For...DRAMA???” Besides, I just really don’t want them to make Demetri into a cheater For The Drama. He’s a good, loyal kid who drinks Respect Women juice every day (I mean...Moon and Sam are two of his closest friends, ffs! And he’s never once been creepy with or tried to hit on either!), so him cheating is a no from me, dawg.
Like Cobra Kai, if y’all wanna use Yas/metri as a means of pushing us closer to eventual Hawkmetri, fine. But please do it SMART. Yasmine absolutely doesn’t need to get cheated on for Demetri to realize within that relationship that he’s not (or not JUST) into girls. Dare to be different, Cobra Kai!!! Say “no thank you” to the Gay Cheating cliche and “yes thank you” to Demetri realizing he’s gay (or bi) in a more interesting, nuanced way that doesn’t totally screw Yasmine over for no reason!

bc..well i dont think i need to tell you why considering the times youve seen it} but netflix is doing me so dirty. they're removing it on the 2nd of nov, and its like theyre taking away my family. imma miss them so much, . obviously they are all the faves, but have you answered which order you like them best in? if not please explain in detail for this broken old soul. so much love, a fellow leverage enthusiast ~

For those who don’t, Leverage is leaving Netflix on November 2 and I AM DISTRAUGHT
To answer your actual question, I don’t think I’ve ever sorted the main 5 by who I like best, probably because it changes based on episode and how I’m feeling that day. But I’ll give it a go!
5. Nate
Nate is the lowest on here not because I don’t like him, but because when you stack him up against the others, for me, they’re all going to come out ahead. Despite being the so-called “white knight,” Nate’s a lot darker than the other characters (the CAREER CRIMINALS), which even Parker comments on at one point (”Is it just me, or is he getting creepier?”). The scene at the end of The Cross My Heart Job is absolutely chilling (“God killed you. I just made sure it took.��), and that was really the one that made me pull back and see Nate in a different light. I liked the scene, and I do think it’s in-character, but damn.
His mastermind abilities allow him to do a lot of manipulation, both with the marks and the team, and I think even Nate starts to realize near the end of the series that he’s reached a point that he either needs to get out or risk becoming a supervillain, basically. It would be really easy for him to hit that tipping point, because he’s very good at convincing himself he’s doing the right thing or that the ends justify the means.
4. Sophie
Sophie is so fantastic. I love how seamlessly she can slip between her roles, and I love how much she cares about the other members of the team, and I adore the friendship that builds up between her and Parker. There’s a post I reblogged recently that said, basically, Sophie wants to be the mom friend, but she’s really more of the wine aunt, and I think that’s pretty accurate.
Quite possibly my favorite thing about Sophie is watching her growth as an actual actress over the course of the series. She goes from being absolutely painful to watch in episode one (the team’s reaction to her is HILARIOUS) to knocking the same role out of the park and receiving a standing ovation in the final episode.
3. Eliot
I think what I love most about Eliot–aside from his country boy hipster chef aesthetic–is how okay with himself he is. If I remember correctly, John Rogers called it being “not at peace, but at equilibrium,” and I think that’s such a great description of him. It’s clear Eliot’s done some pretty awful things in his past, and he never glosses over how bad they were (even if he doesn’t talk about them). But it’s also like…he’s come to terms with the fact that he can’t change the past, what’s done is done and it’s a part of him now, and all he can do is move forward and do better. It’s a really great contrast to Nate, who spends a lot of the series agonizing over his decision to “switch sides,” as it were.
Also, let’s be honest here. “Till my dying day” and “I don’t have to search anymore” are two of the most goddamn romantic lines I have ever heard in my life. I never had an OT3 before this show but DAMN, Leverage.
2. Parker (or Hardison)
I’ve gone in-depth about how much I love Parker before, how much I love her arc and how she spends the entire series learning how to people and eventually becoming the one to take over the team. It’s such a well-done character arc that never feels like it’s OOC, and Parker never loses any of the weirdness that made her so unique and interesting in the beginning, even as she gains compassion and empathy (and learns how to deal with other people and with feelings) through being part of the team.
She’s absolutely wonderful and weird and outstandingly competent, and I love her with all my heart.
1. Hardison (or Parker)
MY PRECIOUS GEEKY HACKER CINNAMON BUN. Y’all, I cannot express how much I love Hardison. He’s so damn smart and it’s like…he’s kind of the first one who sees that they could be a real team, not just working a one-off the way the others say. It’s interesting that he’s the only one of the team who had some kind of a stable childhood–it’s clear his Nana loved all her kids fiercely and did her best to give them a good home, something evidenced by the fact that Hardison spends prom night hacking the Bank of Iceland to pay her medical bills.
He’s outstandingly competent, and if he screws something up, it’s usually because he did his job too well, rather than the other way around. He’s definitely younger than the rest of the team and it shows in his overall maturity levels (e.g., skipping a job to play World of Warcraft), but he’s also pretty emotionally mature, more so than any of them except maaaaybe Eliot. He’s so patient and sweet with Parker as she’s figuring out her feelings (PRETZELS, GUYS).
I just…I really love Hardison.

It’s crucial that you get out and vote on November 6, if you haven’t already done so via mail. But if exercising your right as a citizen isn’t enough of an incentive for you, several local establishments are offering deals for customers who come in wearing their “I voted” stickers. Additionally, for those of you who need help getting to the polls, L.A. Metro, Lyft, and Uber are all offering free or discounted rides. Check out the following list of Election Day specials—ranging from cheap beer to free fitness classes—below.

Metro will be offering free bus and train rides on Election Day between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Metro will also offer free 30-minute Metro bike share rides. Enter promo code 1162018 at the station kiosk, and your first 30 minutes are free. It’s $1.75 for every additional 30 minutes after that.
Uber & Lyft
To encourage voter turnout, both ridesharing apps are offering discounts to passengers. Lyft will offer 50% off rides to the polls, while Uber is offering a $10 discount. I’ve been so frantically trying to cram in more hours of content than was possible in under two days so that I could catch up (at least enough) to watch the 100th episode live that I haven’t paused to even like. think about the fact that this is the 100th episode tonight until like. right now. Like holy shit. I started watching at the very end of the Whitestone arc (like literally post-finale... the first episode I watched live was either Denouement or Winter’s Crest in Whitestone, I honestly can’t remember which) and have been watching since then mostly regularly, sometimes in fits and starts, staying up until 2 am every Thursday night for over a year now.
I’m gonna put the rest of this post under a read more because hot damn I rambled on for a while but basically... this show means a lot to me.
And like... I feel like I’m sort of weird, because I was into D&D streams long before I was into playing D&D. I’d been doing play-by-post roleplaying since I was maybe 11 and first discovered the internet (in fact I think it’s fair to say my first experience with other people on the internet was me stumbling into an rp forum and going ‘guess ill do what theyre doing’ and made a character), but I’d never even heard of tabletop roleplaying. I first found out what D&D was by finding a link to the recordings of a campaign by a handful of like D-list internet celebrities on TV Tropes when I was in... late middle school? Early high school? And I followed that down a rabbit hole that led me to more and more and I would download the audio and listen to them during class because I was a lazy student (and listen y’all if anyone out there reads this and watched the Wyrmwick campaign... hmu bc I still think about those assholes sometimes and lose my shit over “Plan A: Yoink” and Dhother eating a vampire apple) and eventually I ended up at a D&D Twitch stream every Friday where maybe 15 of us would show up and hang out and joke with the players and name every single animal that showed up in the campaign and refuse to refer to them as anything but our chosen nicknames. That game was the first time I experienced the type of community that D&D builds, the inside jokes and funny anecdotes and bonding experiences that come from hanging out together and watching a story unfold in real time in the most unpredictable fashion possible. (And if by some infinitesimal chance any of y’all from the Two Worlds game read this... extra hmu. I miss you guys.)
After the Two Worlds campaign ended and school got more serious and couldn’t make the Friday night streams anymore because I was busy and tired and the internet in my house sucked, D&D sort of... faded from my life. I never had any friends in high school who would be at all interested in it and every so often I would go back to that channel and find some of the highlights that were still saved and I would listen to them and wish that I could have that sort of thing back, because D&D is such an unparalleled storytelling device and as hard as it is when you’re into a TV show or book series that doesn’t have a huge following--imagine what it’s like when what you really care about is random strangers playing a tabletop game on the internet.
And then came Critical Role.
I am forever grateful that someone I followed (who I won’t @ just because I don’t really talk to them and I don’t want to give them a notification for a stranger’s long rambling post lol) started reblogging a lot of gifs of CR because I was. immediately interested. I never really lost my interest in D&D, I just lost access to it, so as soon as I saw images of people rolling dice and cheering about crits I was into it. It took me a little while to find out what it was and where to get it but when I did I blew through it, over 30 three hour long episodes, staying up past 3 am every night even though it was fucking reading and finals period, and watched the entire backlog up to that point (a third of what it is now, but pretty considerably even so). The three-hour-long videos were familiar to me, though the live action format was not (every stream I’d watched was through an online program rather than in person, so I’d only ever seen character tokens and heard voices).
Critical Role came at exactly the right time. I found it at the end of my first semester at Wellesley, where for the first time I’d found people who shared my interests and were every inch the geeky loser I am. I was finally in a place where I felt comfortable exploring my most out-there interests more publicly, and while I didn’t find my first in-person fan until this year (shout out to @wingedscribe for talking to me for over an hour about what an idiot Vax is when we first met), or at least the first one I didn’t make myself (thanks Susie, and I see you reblogging CR posts still), I did find enough people willing to try out roleplaying with me. I finished bingeing Critical Role just in time for winter break, I grabbed an old fantasy world I’d built ages ago for a different forum RP group, and I drafted a campaign. I was the DM, because we tried another person and it was an unmitigated disaster, and because I knew the most about how the game worked--again, solely because of my years of watching D&D streams and just sort of absorbing the rules (tho they had all been 4e, so I definitely was still learning).
That campaign doesn’t exist anymore because I definitely threw myself way in over my head with it and burned myself out, but Critical Role still kickstarted my creativity and imagination and that stuck with me. I talked some friends into trying a Star Wars RPG with me and we’re having a hell of a time, and I’m trying out D&D as a player and fucking loving it (god I miss both those games right now though, the downside of summer is splitting up our group). I wrote fanfiction for the first time in my entire life, and started to actively participate in a fandom on a wider basis for pretty much the first time ever, because of this show. I bought (and wear, very often, because that hoodie is my favorite article of clothing ever) fandom-related clothing for the first time because of this show. That’s how much it means to me: I, who am perpetually embarrassed to talk about literally everything that interests me, walk around with the Critical Role logo and How Do You Want To Do This emblazoned across my body on a regular basis.
Critical Role, more than anything, has made me feel what it is to be part of a fandom community. Just like those 15 people showing up every Friday night to hang out and watch some strangers play D&D, but on a massive scale. There’s something so incredibly engaging about watching a story unfold in real time, especially when the cast is so eager to engage with the fans themselves. Seeing Laura Bailey as ready to fistfight Sam Riegel as I am on a daily basis is a powerful thing when it comes to making me feel connected to the show, and seeing everybody else on this site also ready to square the fuck up has made me feel more connected to the Critter community as a whole. And maybe it’s because it’s a relatively small fandom, or maybe it’s because of the medium of D&D in general and Critical Role more specifically, or maybe (probably) it’s some combination of the two, but I am so glad I found this show and this community at a time in my life when I was actually ready to be a part of it.
This is real fuckin long and I’m not sure I even said what I wanted to, but basically: Thank you, Critical Role. Thank you, Matthew Mercer and the rest of this incredible cast. And thank you, Critter community. Y’all mean a lot to me.

The wide interpretive space of Joshua Harmons witty play allows both viewpoints to be true.
The front of the program, designed to suggest a planned plastic surgery, with dotted lines over its star Idina Menzels face, reads: Beauty isnt everything. So why is it the only thing? The play attacks this question both comically and seriously, but the cover is also misleading. The play is also about what defines a particular kind of gay relationship. Thats harder to sketch on the front of a Playbill.
Jack Wetheralls Elliot is in love or sexual thrallor an intangible mix of bothwith Trey (Will Brittain), some 50 years his junior, and Trey is both callow and (maybe) deeper than his blond, humpy twinkiness suggests to Elliots furious daughter, Jodi (Menzel), and her lackadaisical son, Benji (Eli Gelb).
Trey says he loves Elliot, but the definition and nature of that love and their closeness is what is in question, as well as a proprietary daughter facing the challenge of sharing her father.
Harmon has investigated gay intimacy before (Significant Other), and most recently cultural hypocrisies and duplicities within family life (Admissions), and Skintight marries elements of both.
Menzels high-energy, bustling ball of discontent and motherly over-attachment is this shows zingiest comic draw. The play opens with her complaining about the breakdown of her marriage. Think of a car engine running, growling, misfiring, not stopping.
Her husband has left her for a much younger woman who, she notes, was a baby when she was at college. She claims not to have a problem with her fathers later-in-life blooming gay life, but her most cherished memories, and memories she uses as weapons against Trey, are from the sepia-frozen past of when her mother was alive and conventional hetero-family intact.
The open field Harmon affords to his characters and their motivations paradoxically becomes one of the plays frustrations. It asks that we hedge our bets on pretty much everything, like whether Elliot and Treys particular older-younger relationship is a healthy thing and whether a transactional relationship involving a rich, older man and a younger, grasping, fairly rude one is such a great idea.
You dont exactly root for Trey and Elliot to be together; Harmon at least partially writing unexpectedly against the central coupleor the hearts, flowers, and longing of what we expect of a central coupleis both perverse and refreshing. Trey seems selfish and pretty unpleasant, Elliot imperious and removed. Theyre a good, narcissistic match for each other. You can imagine meeting them at a party and later being relieved to be out of their self-regarding presence.
We can judge the relationship, of courseJodi sure does, and Elliot insists he knows exactly what he is doing, whatever she thinksbut the play doesnt. Similarly, it leaves open the foggy intentions of a frustrated child watching her father, as she sees it, humiliate himself and be humiliated. Or is Jodi merely pissed off at the hot interloper getting in the way of her access to her fathers millions and millions?
Elliot, who seems an awful lot like Calvin Klein (and Wetherall sure as heck looks like him), has made his money in clothing, and specifically underwear with his name written on the waistband. Klein also has famously had much younger boyfriends, most notably Nick Gruber, and shacked up with him in a swish New York home.
Like Gruber (reportedly), Trey has been a porn star and had sex with women as well as men. Trey, who drawls and revels in being almost belligerently unsophisticated, knows what those drawn to him are attracted to, and so the groin is well-upholstered and shoved front and up at all times.
Just wait for the scene when Trey comes downstairs in the middle of the night in one of his bulgiest jockstraps to sit and eat cereal between mother and son on the couch. (And watch a few minutes later, as Menzel approaches the couch as if it had a lethal strain of botulism streaked on it.)
Then there is Benjia geeky, awkward young man studying Queer Theory abroad, and a very different gay man from Treywho, in one of the best scenes of the play, connects with Trey, and then very nearly really connects with him, leading a warning to back off. From his grandpa.
Cynthia Mace as the maid Orsolya and Stephen Carrasco as Jeff, a manservant who has an intimate past with Elliot, complete the company. Mace comically struggles up and down the stairs of Lauren Helperns plush set with heavy suitcases. Jeff glides in and out, a mostly voiceless handsome Mrs. Danvers, who Trey cant standor feels threatened bybecause of his connection to Elliot.
Suddenly, the sexiness of Trey and his youth become the central concern of this play, which is fine if a little dramatically deflating. Trey has a nice body, but his sexual charisma isnt that magnetic. Despite his hunky body, you dont really covet whatever it is Jodi and Benji start surmising about what he has.
For this part of the play, Jodi and Benji recognize it (reallyafter being so circumspect about everything else?). For them, his supposed beauty is Treys power, and it is the root of many other peoples success and power too. Skintight doesnt ask what price, beauty, but rather what can it buy you. Elliot is in the business of selling sex, and here he is living his own lifestyle.
One of the plays conclusions, and one that it means to sit there and not get beyond, is that if you are beautiful, youll be all right; that beauty is the thing that can guarantee access and riches.
For Elliot, Treys beauty is life-giving, but Elliots key speech to Jodi, praising that beauty and waking up next to it every morning, sounds more vampiric and creepy than perhaps how it is intended. Jodi notes that whatever it is, it doesnt sound like love.
There is amity of a kind in conclusion. But youre left scratching your chin with this inconsistently likable and grating group. Trey is perhaps not as bad as Jodi thinks, but maybe he is (he certainly has a capacity for cruelty and meanness); as for Elliot, Wetherall seems to be playing intense Strindberg while everyone else has beached their characters on an accessible fault line between comedy and drama.
We can understand Jodis frustrations, but Jodi/Menzel is beautiful too, at least equally so to Trey/Brittain, so its hard that she would feel at such an aesthetic disadvantage next to him. Which leaves Benji, also very handsome (especially if you like big, curly hair), who perhaps needs to stop learning Queer Theory and start living a queer life.
Just as the play asks us not to judge its characters, it also asks us to accept how people choose to live with the compromises and shortcomings in their intimate relationships that are not just obvious to others but also to them.

The end of the tale of the save file left on my preowned cartridge: i've ended up rarepairing Shadow Venoct and Uber Geeko I nicknamed mine Gabe and Vergil!
They just have so much in common?? They both have different kinds of shy personality and sneaky battleness but different supporting movesets to go with their sneakyness. And both really kind and protective ones! Shadow Venoct/Vergil has healing moves and Uber Geeko/Gabe has an ability to jump in front of friends and shield them from a mortal blow. So they work really well together! Buff up Gabe's defense and with the chance of his ability + the chance of Vergil's ability making the enemy target Gabe AND Vergil healing Gabe every time it happens. PROTECTIVE BOYF POWER...
And its just so cute thinking about how they might be different in their similarness and they love that about each other? Like theyre both quiet but Gabe is more of a typical nerdy bookworm and Vergil is more of a stoic samurai type quietness who just has the big secret that its cos he's shy not because he's cool. So they have lots to bond over and also lots new to learn from each other! And they can support each other in different ways! Like Gabe wishes he could find a good listener like Vergil who wouldnt mock him for his hobbies, and Vergil is tough at braving regular scary stuff but gets anxious about talking to cashiers and stuff so he thinks his geeky boyfriend is the biggest badass on the face of the earth. "N-no, i'm just a wimp! You're a whole damn warrior!" "Well at least 85% of me was dying just walking to the post office, i dont know how i'd do it without you!" And then he beats up everyone who dares to bully his boyfriend and his bully verbally beats up telemarketers who keep giving him panic attacks. THE CIRCLE OF INFINATE PROTECTION JUST LIKE THEIR BATTLE AtTACKS...
Also they are the TEAM DADS and i love them
But aaaa i need to figure out a good third member to stick on that party! Whoever ive tried so far just ends up taking all the attacks because for SOME REASON Vergil keeps casting his dodge increase buff on Gabe and Gabe alone. Like yo i know u love ur man but ur ruining ur entire strategy!! Tfw ur so dumbass gay you somehow defy ur own programming.
